Legalities & Pricing

All the important things you need to know

After you have selected me as your celebrant (all things going to plan) we have some important legal paperwork to complete.

Paperwork, ugh!! - Don't worry, I'm here to make this as simple as possible.

I will need to sight these things (must be originals)

  • A valid passport is the easiest option otherwise your birth certificate and another form of photo ID (your drivers licence) will be fine

  • Divorce Certificates / Death Certificates / Proof of Annulment (whichever is applicable)

Legal paperwork that I'll supply

  • Notice of Intended Marriage (to be completed no later than 1 month prior to wedding).

  • Declaration of No Legal Impediment Form (usually signed at your rehearsal)

  • Official Marriage Certificates

Legal Requirements on your day

  • Two witnesses over the age of 18.

  • During your ceremony you must both state the vows that are legally outlined by law, according to the Marriage ACT 1961 and they must be heard by myself and the witnesses present.

  • According to law I have to state the legal ‘Monitum’

  • Both of you, your witnesses and myself sign the official documents.
